Now you can literally wash bad hair days away because our Lavender and Tea Tree Conditioning Bar uses a nourishing blend of cocoa butter and castor oil for amazing results. We won’t go too geeky on you, but the bar’s cationic positive charges help leave hair softer, less tangled, and altogether more manageable. Meanwhile, its Lavender will help you relax and the anti-fungal Tea Tree will gently cleanse and moisturize your scalp. All this from a handy little bar that comes in a planet-friendly box, not a plastic bottle. You won’t find even the smallest smidgen of preservative or sulfate in any of our conditioner bars; all we add is a feel-good factor. Our plastic-free boxes are recycled and recyclable, and we’re also registered with The Vegan Society and Cruelty-Free International. We’ve even earned a ‘Best’ rating with Ethical Consumer.

Bar or Liquid:  Friendly Conditioner bars are easy to use as a solid bar, simply use you hands and warm water to create a creamy paste and tease through hair with your fingers.

However, if you prefer a liquid conditioner, here's how;

Mix your Friendly conditioner bar with 600ml of boiling water until dissolved. Allow the conditioner mixture to cool down to a safe temperature and pour the conditioner mixture into a sterile recycled bottle of your choice.

To keep the liquid conditioner fresh, use up within 7-10 days. If smaller amounts are preferred then simply divide the bar and water amounts accordingly.

Friendly by name, Friendly by nature

Rob & Geoff use the ancient cold-process method of soap making, which creates a biodegradable soap with zero by-products. There is literally no waste. Striving always to minimise their impact on the environment, as little energy as possible is used throughout production – every bar of Friendly Soap is poured, cut, stamped and packed by hand, here in the UK.

Friendly Soaps are all free from Palm Oil*, Parabens, Sulphates, Triclosan, Phthalates and Cruelty, as well as being boxed in plastic free, recycled (and recyclable) packaging. They are also registered with The Vegan Society, Cruelty Free International and have a 'Best' rating with Ethical Consumer.

Their story is all about what is left in as well as what is left out. Friendly Soaps won’t dry your skin because all the valuable, naturally-occurring glycerine is left in the soap, so you get a wash that is rich and moisturising.

Also, the soaps are all made using ethically-sourced natural plant-based oils – coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, shea butter and cocoa butter. Each has its own unique qualities and they are all naturally nourishing and moisturising.

Essential oils, flowers, spices and herbs are used for their scent and colour, their healing properties, and some – such as poppy seeds and hemp bran – will gently exfoliate the skin.

Friendly Soaps never use Palm Oil and believe the best thing for the rainforests, its animals and the earth is to avoid it entirely. Shea Butter is bought from a women’s worker cooperative in Ghana and the Coconut Oil is not produced using slave monkeys to pick the fruit. Yes, in some places, this actually happens!

By constantly scrutinising their production methods and working practices, Friendly take little steps towards their goal of producing a zero impact natural soap and business model that benefits the planet, its animals and its people.

The end result of all this thought and consideration? Beautifully luxurious soaps that care for you and the planet. Enjoy with a clean conscience!
